Knightstown High
School graduate
R. Gary Schatzlein, 47, of Indianapolis died Friday at Community
Hospital North in Indianapolis. A graduate of Knightstown High
School, he and his brother, Michael, were co-founders of TRC
Corporation. He co-owned the Indianapolis business for 28 years.
He was a prominent figure in Indianapolis and nationally with
his work in the music, audio recording and advertising
industries. He attended Indiana University. He was a member of
Bethel Presbyterian Church in Knightstown, the Columbia Club in
Indianapolis, American Federation of Musicians, AFTRA and the
Advertising Club. He was born May 10, 1953, in Knightstown.
He is survived by his father, George M. of Fishers; his mother,
Helen Schatzlein; three sons, Jonathon, Jameson and George, all
of Indianapolis; and his brother, Dr. Michael Schatzlein of Fort
Wayne.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Presbyterian Church in
Knightstown. Graveside service are at Glen Cove Cemetery in
Knightstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jonathon,
Jameson and George Account at Huntington National Bank in
Fishers. The Leppert and Hensley Mortuary Nora Chapel in
Indianapolis is handling arrangements.
